As Luffy is the master of poor timing. Luffy jumps down to talk to his crew and first and foremost Hachi, while the people of Coral Hill react with surprise and confusion. Why is the leader there when he should be taking over the palace? Some speculate that he might have tried to kidnap the princess, but that decision is quickly shot down as it’s so preposterous that someone would have tried to sneak out the gigantic princess Shirahoshi aaaand then Oda gives us this lovely shot.

I’m not gonna lie- seeing the chaos unfold at Ryuguu palace is a billion times more interesting than this cliched and farfetched perfect storm of coincidences creating contrived conflicts. I hope that Shirahoshi can somehow talk some sense into the people, but knowing how she’s been utterly useless and flaily so fa… Iiii’m not keeping my hopes up.
