It goes LIKE SO. You comment here and ASK A QUESTION it can be anything CFUD related, OOC, IC, Relationship, psychology, thoughts, whatever. I.E. My character's opinion of your character or maybe what you have been wondering about this behavior or that, or general thoughts on my characters or canons or what, who I might consider raping you into apping, etc.

WHEN I REPLY I will also ask you a question in turn!

In this way we talk at each other, which is fun.

Anyhoo, I play Jak, Vergil, Brook and Faust! Have fun questioning me, just be aware I may be fantastically slow at all this. Life ain't gonna let me rest just yet.

What does Brook miss MOST about having a body?

Oy vey. So far, the only thing that we KNOW that has changed in Brook since turning skeletal is the fact he doesn't feel pain. He can be exhausted, he can see, taste, smell, hear, and he must have SOME sense of touch or ability to sense tactile stimuli, since otherwise I doubt he'd be able to play the violin and musical instruments as good as he does. And as we have seen in camp, he can make out with people. Because HE JUST CAN.

So, I'm going to be cheap and say "the sex". Because like it or not, his penis is the ONE thing we know he doesn't have anymore. It's... pretty much the only thing I can imagine Brook is no longer capable of doing! Which is actually kind of awesome and Brook-esque, when you think about it since he let's almost nothing hold him back form doing the things he really wants to do. Not even death.

Also, counterquestion, apropos the icon: Does Mia wish she could actually CONTROL the Laserdragon, or is it something she just wants as far away from her as humanly possible?

The Laserdragon is Il Palazzo's soul, so... no, Mia wants nothing to do with it.

Vincent's views on his own Sack Tiger days. Discuss?

Date: 2008-09-29 07:50 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] whoooosshh.livejournal.com
Vincent was, truth to be told, not very fond of those days at all. It is my head canon that getting into Shin-Ra was Vincent's way of trying to be closer to his dad, but his skills at guns and kicking ass and failure at being an immoral, suave and smooth operator meant he rarely got to do anything but bodyguard work. Which isn't a bad job or anything, it probably got him into contact with high society and got him into all sorts of parties, but he and his father just drifted more and more apart since they were never in the same place, and Vincent took his job as either a very serious routine or a chore he did not enjoy at all.

The parties he went to he mostly whiled the hours away drinking in a corner until he could be excused, and as far as the ladies go... a Sack Tiger he was not. He was way too awkward and introverted to ever make any moves on his own behalf, but may have been set up with a date or two by his colleagues (which if the games are to be believed he actually had), but those rarely went very well. In short: he does not miss them. Not at all. He likes his new crew much better, even when they call him Sack Tiger and mock him.

And counterquestion: Emma being buddies with Revolver Ocelot, what be up with that? What is she thinking? Is she in fact thinking?

Date: 2008-09-29 08:01 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] oh-grossness.livejournal.com
She's not thinking very much. Mostly, Emma is starved for attention. Ocelot is not only paying attention to her, but he's pretending like her crazy ramblings are something worth listening to. This is amazing! This is awesome! Emma has to know what kind of person Revolver Ocelot is. He probably even executed the rest of her team while she watched. But she is also very, very good at cognitive dissonance. She's saying that you can't judge someone for who they will become, but really she doesn't believe that. She's just willing to trust anyone who will give her affection and take her seriously. Mostly, she's just sticking her fingers in her ears and going "LALALALA I CAN'T HEAR YOU" as far as Ocelot being... Ocelot goes. If Hal or Raiden ever stopped being pussies and were like "EMMA. CUT THAT SHIT OUT. >|" then she would, but they won't, because they are.

So what doe Vincent think of the moogle suit? Of Yuffie's roll in Vincent May Cry in general? Was he glad to have the backup, or mostly just "Yuffie don't interrupt my boss fights :|"

Date: 2008-09-29 08:54 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] whoooosshh.livejournal.com
The moogle suit itself is one of many, many things that Vincent Valentine has accepted is part and parcel of who Yuffie Kisaragi is and as such he doesn't really... think there IS a reason or logic behind it. For all he knows, she just decided to dress like a moogle one day and that was that and questioning the reasons behind her decisions t will only be an exercise in futility.

And for the second part, I think I'm going to watch clips and read scripts and stuff to get a better look at what actually went down in DoC and when I do, which may take some time, I will come back and tell you! Expect the answer... like, tomorrowish. Possibly.

Okay, having rewatched canon I think that Vincent was definitely appreciating Yuffie's help. I mean... when she wasn't doing dumb intro-schpiels and being a little annoying she did good work, bailed him out of tough situations and was actually helpful and did not even ONCE try to steal anything of his. Yuffie realized that there was important stuff to be done, didn't put herself in danger and just generally acted helpful.

Sure, she was loud, talkative and a little embarrassing at times, but... that's just how Yuffie is. Vincent doesn't really expect her to change anytime soon, and is okay with Yuffie being Yuffie. You're cool with me, little ninja-girl. Just... stay in the backrow and let me do the heavyhitting okay?

Suppose I said I was considering apping from one of your canons. Which canon/character would you steer me toward?

From: [identity profile] moveurdeadfros.livejournal.com
Oooh, tricky one. Jak canon is... fun and all, and the story is virtually concluded, but on the other hand it is also the second least sensible storyline of all my canons. I would LOVE for someone to app either Daxter, his fuzzy little rodent sidekick, or Torn, his comrade in macho manliness, but all in all, I feel that the foremost series I'd like to point people to is One Piece. Jak has been alone for so long, it's kind of... gotten routine. Sure, routines are awesome to break up and all, but it would take a lot from me right now to reroute myself.

One Piece, however! One Piece has a large, colorful and awesome cast, and THE best written story of all my canons. I want to pimp it to everyone I know and see, that's how much I love it. And if I were to point out a character specifically, that's a hard question. I'd love a Chopper or an Usopp, but I think I'd go with Zoro for you. Zoro's more independent than Chopper (a Chopper MUST HAVE AN Usopp, he simply must), and if you play Zoro you could playercest Zoro and Setsuna. That would be the very DEFINITION of epic swordsrivalry right there.

Also, counterquestion: Which canon and character would YOU point me towards?

So this is probably not the place to do this, but it's the top post on your journal and so here I go!

I have, er, been trying to make Brook & Usopp icons. Which is quite hard because for one, looong Brook is looooong and it makes the cropping hard. For another, Usopp and Brook don't seem to stand next to each other a whole lot or if they do, it's not close enough. But I have managed to make three mediocre icons with both of them in them, where they are somewhat recognizable. And I'm going to share them with you!

If you want to use them too, go ahead. If you don't, that's fine too. (My skills as an icon maker are not great.) I thought I'd at least show them to you.

Nuts to not using these icons, they are far too fabulous to resist nabbing. And hey, my icons are by far worse than yours, I can't even color or anything so THEY LOOK JUST FINE TO ME.

*siiiigh* You're going to think me weird that I keep making icons for you but I keep coming across good things from which to make icons!

For example! Today, I was watching the latest One Piece anime episode. And I'm happy because they're finally beginning the group fight with Oz. (I LOVE the group fights.) And at one point in the episode, Brook squishes his afro. I thought it would make a stellar icon! So I tried and ahahaha, here you go.

Image

If you want me to speed up or slow down the afro squish motion, let me know and I'll do my best. And again, if you hate the icon and don't want to use it that's fine!

... I find myself more and more in love with your glorious self, because this is a most glorious icon if I ever saw one. Will be ganking and using, oh yeas!
